Originally from Paris, Texas, Dr. Rast received an undergraduate degree in animal science from Texas A&M University and his medical degree from Southwestern Medical School at the University of Texas. He completed his internship and general surgery residency at the Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport and his plastic surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina.
