Cervello hair removal laser
How they are used
The platform is used mainly for hair removal training. Students on the laser technician track learn the consultation, the skin assessment, the parameter settings for different skin types and the full treatment sequence on the same class of device they will meet in a clinic.
About the school
New Age Spa Institute is an esthetics and beauty school in Des Plaines, Illinois, in the north-western suburbs of Chicago. It runs state licensing programmes in esthetics, massage therapy and nail technology, and adds post-graduate work on top of them: Esthetics 101 for cosmetologists, Master Clinical Aesthetics certification and a laser technician school.
It is also a CIDESCO school, so its diploma answers to the international standard body for aesthetics rather than to one state board alone.
The laser technician track is where the platform matters. Students on it are being prepared to operate a device professionally on paying clients, so the machine they learn on sets the standard they will expect from an employer.
